- Gilberto Zorio was born in Adorno Micca, in Italy in 1944 and is among the protagonists of Arte Povera movement. The first solo exhibition was in 1969 in Ileana Sonnabend’s gallery and subsequently in 1973 at Gian Enzo Sperone in Turin. A series of international solo exhibitions then began, in 1973 the tenth Quadrennial in Rome and then at the Kunstmuseum in Lucerne in 1976, at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam 1979 and at Christian Stein in 1979. He participated in the Venice Biennales in 1978, 1980 and then in 1986 with a personal room to arrive at the participation in the Dokumenta IX in Kassel in 1992.
