Getulio Alviani was born in Udine on the 5th september 1939, he was visual artist, graphic designer, architect, collectioner and much more. At the end of the 50’s he realized the first “linee luce”, metal surfaces that later will be organized in panels and will become the famous “superfici a testura vibratile”. In 1963 he is included in the collective exhibition in Berlin “ZERO – der neue Idealismus”. In 1965 he is featured in the exhibition in MoMa in New York “The responsive eye” . In 64’, 86’ and 93’ he is at the Venice Biennale and in 2000 again at MoMA in New York in the exhibition “Open ends”. The museum will acquire one of his works. Alviani’s works are in the most important museum’s collections like MoMA, Daimler Contemporary in Berlin, Kunstmuseum in Basel, Victoria and Albert Museum in London and many more. He passed away on the 24th February 2018 in Milano.
