- Christo (born Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, 1935–2020) was one of the most influential figures in Land Art and installation art, world-renowned for transforming the global landscape through monumental, temporary interventions. His career is inextricably linked to that of his wife and creative partner, Jeanne-Claude, with whom he redefined the concepts of public space and art ownership.
