- Arnaldo Pomodoro was born in Morciano di Romagna in Italy in 1926 and he is considered among the most important modern and contemporary sculptors. His artworks are usually made in bronze, often spheres or blocks, the bronze is his favourite material. His artworks open and reveal inside complex internal mechanisms while outside the surface is shiny and clean. Between 1961 and 1962 he participated with Lucio Fontana to the art movement called “Continuità” that will permit him to work on his particular style and especially on the big artworks, often site specific.
