From July 25, 2026, to January 10, 2027, the spaces of the Centro Studi and the Osvaldo Licini House Museum in Monte Vidon Corrado (FM) host an intense exhibition dedicated to Anton Zoran Music (1909–2005), one of the most significant and poetic masters of the late twentieth century. The exhibition is curated by Daniela Simoni and Stefano Bracalente.
The show presents a curated selection of oil paintings, watercolors, engravings, and lithographs created between 1947 and the early 1980s. These works come from the prestigious collection of Alberto Marcelletti, the result of more than forty years of cultured and passionate collecting.
The exhibition path retraces the key milestones of the Julian artist’s research—a border figure and a crucial bridge between East and West: from the iconic, archaic Dalmatian horses to views of Venice and the Karst, through to portraits of his wife Ida and the mark-based abstractions of Terre dalmate (Dalmatian Lands). Ample space is also dedicated to the dramatic etchings from the famous series We Are Not the Last, where the indelible memory of his imprisonment in the Dachau concentration camp emerges, sublimated into a powerful meditation on the human condition.
Welcoming Music’s works into Licini’s home creates a subtle and deep harmony: both masters share a drive toward essentiality, the reduction of line to a primordial mark, and the transfiguration of landscape into an inner, timeless space.
