Mario Ceroli’s solo show at Palazzo Citterio in Milan

Saturday 8 December Palazzo Citterio in Milan in the heart of Brera reopens after fifty-three years, becoming the extension and evolution of the Pinacoteca di Brera. The reopening is in grand style because it opens with an exhibition by Mario Ceroli, one of the international masters of the 20th century. “The strength to dream again” is the title of the artist’s exhibition which takes place in the underground room of James Stirling in Palazzo Citterio. Curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi, the exhibition presents ten sculpture installations, mostly of very large format and conceived as a single environment, which are social criticism and at the same time a continuation of the work that Mario Ceroli began at the end of the 1990s. 50.

At the center of the route is “Venice”, a monumental installation of sixty-two pine trunks, a tribute to the magical city suspended on the water. Mario Ceroli’s exhibition can be visited until 25 March 2025.
