- Pino Pinelli (Catania, 1938 – Milan, 2024) represents one of the most radical and innovative figures in the international contemporary art scene. An undisputed protagonist of Analytical Painting (also known as “Pittura-Pittura” or Painting-Painting), Pinelli succeeded in deconstructing the traditional concept of the canvas, transforming color into body, substance, and spatial presence.
