  • Marino Marini was born in Pistoia in 1901. In 1917 he studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence following the painting classes by Galileo Chini and the sculpture classes by Domenico Trentacoste. The first years of his activity are dedicated to painting, sculpture and print making. In 1926 he lives in Florence, the year after he meets the artist Arturo Martini that two years after will invite him to teach in I.S.I.A. in the Villa Reale, Monza. In 1928 he participates at the exhibition in Milan of the “Novecento” artistic group. He exhibits with the “Novecento” group in Milan (1929), Niece (1929), Helsinki (1930) and  Stockholm (1931).
