  • <strong>Achille Perilli</strong> (Rome, January 28, 1927 – Orvieto, October 16, 2021) represents one of the most authoritative and revolutionary figures in the Italian and international art scene of the post-war period. His tireless research, aimed at overcoming figuration and exploring the power of the "sign," has left an indelible mark on the evolution of <strong>geometric abstraction</strong>. Raised in a fervent cultural climate, Perilli attended classical high school and enrolled in the Faculty of Letters, where he attended lectures by Lionello Venturi, a key figure in his critical development. During these formative years, he grew convinced of the need to break away from Italian academic tradition, which was still tied to the legacies of the past.
