Zoran Mušič (1909-2005) was a Slovenian-born, naturalized French painter and printmaker, known for his figurative style and thematic cycles related to his experience in concentration camps. Born in Gorizia, he studied in Zagreb and later in Paris, where he settled permanently after the war. His most famous work "We Are Not the Last" (1970-1976), is a cycle of paintings and drawings that evokes the atrocities of the Dachau camp, where he was interned. Other notable cycles are those dedicated to the Venetian landscape, Dalmatian portraits, and little horses.

His works are exhibited in major museums such as the Modern Gallery in Zagreb, the Tate Gallery in London, and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. He participated in numerous international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale (1950, 1956, 1960) and Documenta 2 in Kassel (1959). His art, profound and moving, explores the theme of memory and the human condition.
