The Milanese cultural landscape is set to be enriched by an unmissable event dedicated to one of the most iconic masters of the 20th century. From May 29, 2026, until October 18, 2026, the city will celebrate the genius of Arnaldo Pomodoro with the major anthological exhibition “Una Vita” (A Life), hosted at Gallerie d’Italia.
The exhibition represents a profound journey through over sixty years of artistic experimentation. The curated path brings together approximately forty works ranging from the delicate low-reliefs of the 1950s—where the Master’s characteristic sign-based “writing” first emerged—to the imposing monumental sculptures of the 2000s.
Visiting this retrospective means entering the pulsing heart of matter: his famous spheres crack open to reveal complex internal gears, geometric solids are corroded by internal tensions, and bronze surfaces dialogue with the surrounding space in a perfect balance of form and void. Beyond the sculptures, the event offers an unprecedented look into the artist’s creative process through a precious selection of archival materials and installations inspired by his original designs.
